This means that 25% of Soviet people killed or wounded in the war. Almost 85% of the deaths were on total partners and another 15% were on Axis. Often, people died, bombarded, or died because of their ethnicity, because they died.
The Nazis removed many groups of people, known as the Holocaust. They destroyed the Jews, and killed Roma, the Poles, the Russians, the homosexuals and other groups. About 11 to 17 million civilians died. The Japanese killed 7.5 million people in China. The most famous Japanese crime the Naked Massacre, in which thousands of Chinese citizens raped and murdered. There were reports that the Germans and Japanese tested biological weapons against civilians and prisoners of World War II.

The Nazis used their ethnic policies and killed many people who considered non-human. Resistance, a group of people who secretly fought against Germany, did not cause much damage to the Nazis until 1943.
Development In technology
War brought new methods for future wars. Air forces have made major improvements in areas such as air transport, strategic bombing, and weapons to destroy radar and aircraft. Jet aircraft developed and used in air forces worldwide.
